There is a doctrine that has been spreading around the world, leading unsuspecting people fall to the ground, as if by divine influence. And the worst is not falling down, but fall of pure faith in God's Word into the arms of the devil! The great proof of this is the bad witness of Christian life of these people, for believing in this farce, tnn are giving credit to seducing spirits. And these, in turn, now have freedom to destroy their lives.
I know or not well accepted, and there are already some supporters of this practice who ignore me when dealing with this matter. However, those whom God has made and given knowledge of His Word, can not be silent in front of so many fads among many churches and brothers. But I make my own the words of Peter in (Acts 5:29) But answering Peter and the apostles said, We ought to obey God rather than men. Paul also said in this regard: (Galatians 1:10) ... because, I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Those who practice "slain in the Spirit" use Bible passages that talk about people becoming "as dead" (Revelation 1:17), or falling on one's face (Hezekiah 1:28; Daniel 8: 17-18; Daniel 10 : 7-9). However, there are several contrasts between the biblical examples of "falling on its face" and the practice of "slain in the Spirit".
1. Biblically speaking, tnn fall to the ground was the result of the reaction tnn of a person he had seen in a vision when he went far beyond ordinary events, tnn such as the transfiguration of Christ (Matthew 17: 6). In the unbiblical practice of "slain in the Spirit", that person responds to "touch" of another person or the pastor's arm movement.
2. The Bible examples were very rare, so that occurred only in the lives of a few. In the phenomenon of "slain in the Spirit" fall to the ground is a weekly event in those churches and that experience with many.
3. In Bible examples, people fell on own face as amazed by what they saw or who saw. The farce of "slain in the Spirit", they fall backwards, tnn or in response to the speaker's arm movement or as a result of the push of a church leader (or push in some cases).
We are not claiming tnn that all examples of "slain in the Spirit" are false or just a response to a touch or push. Many people feel an energy or force that causes them to fall back. However, we do not think no biblical basis for this concept. Yes, there may be an energy or force involved, but if this is the case, probably not from God and not the result of the work of the Holy Spirit.
Unfortunately, many people seek these strange fakes that do not produce any spiritual fruit, tnn rather than seek the practical fruit which the Spirit distributes tnn with the purpose of glorifying Christ with our lives (Galatians 5: 22-23). Being filled with the Spirit is not evidenced by such antics, but by a life overflowing with God's Word in such a way that the person is always filled with spiritual songs and gratitude to God. Ephesians 5: 18-20 and Galatians 5: 22-23 is a picture of our lives!
Ezekiel 1:28 ... As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the Lord's glory; and I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one that spake.
Daniel 8: 17-19 ... So he came near where I was; and when he came, I amedrontei me, and I fell on my face; but he said to me, Understand son of man, because this vision happen at the end time. While he was talking to me, I fell asleep with my face; but he touched me and made me stand. And I said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall happen in the last end of the indignation; because it belongs to the particular time of the end.
Daniel 10: 9-11 ... Then I heard him speaking, and listening tnn to him, I fell prostrate, face, and I lost consciousness. Then someone's hand touched me and set me on my hands and my weak knees. And he said, ". Daniel, you are much loved Pay close attention to what I tell you, get up, because I was sent to you." When he told me this, I fell on my foot, shaking.
Acts 9: 1-7 ... And Saul, still breathing threats and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest. And asked of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, so that if he found any of this way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, it came to pass, came near Damascus, suddenly surrounded him a sky light shining. And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him: Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting tnn me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. It is hard for thee to kick against the goads. And he trembling and astonished, diss
