Synne Lea (b. 1974), has grown up in Oslo, but now lives in Åsgårdstrand. She has released two collections of poetry, You have a place to run into (2010) and Everything is something else (2003), and in 2012 came her first child and adolescent novel, Leo and May, which is widely acclaimed and was recently nominated for the prestigious Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis. Last year Night watchman, one poetry book for children illustrated by Stian Hole, which was nominated for both Brageprisen and Critics. Synnes barnebøker are sold in several countries. alese I have interviewed her about the books on her childhood bedside.
- "The Brothers Lionheart" is my strongest and girlfriend reading experience from when I was small. "Bull Ferdinand" by Munro Leaf, "Haren and nepa. A Chinese adventure with images "and His Sandes" Lita, greenest grasbok "are also books I remember very well. My first major reading experiences alone, Tor Jonsson poems and eventually Hamsun.
- My parents read a lot for my sister and me. The first two chapters of "The Brothers alese Lionheart" had my sister always read aloud, because crying mom so she could not speak. Now I have it in the same way, my daughter must read the two chapters brother and me. We read the book again and again.
- I did not think it was so easy to read when I was little, I read not so much yourself. It was probably why I started alese reading poems. alese Short texts. I learned them by heart, repeated and repeated. That my parents read aloud to me, I am extra happy. That they also were so touched by what they read, and showed it, made me feel that it was important. The feeling of value and importance, has meant a lot to me when I write.
