Have just kuskat around the car from Zermatt to Andermatt and Engelberg last 4 days and there is plenty of snow in the 3 resorts. Sno came yesterday in Engelberg, visibility was zero on the slopes and more came apparently in the day.The rained heavily at Zurich airport at 13 when my plane took off. Now there seems to be a good base of snow so just to go down so fast it just go go, more snow's announced in large parts of the Alps. Check, however, how much of the system is open on the place you plan to visit. In Andermatt coverlet and Engelberg was the only part of the total lift system that was in operation during weekdays so have early in the season, Zerrmatt will be open virtually everything that goes on wind and weather permitting. Besok http://www.juergs.ch/seiten/livecams.html and http://www.snow-forecast.com/ you should get a good picture of snow team. CR

FF should not be moping together, do not think it's just right now he can get great skiing in the Alps, it will probably be better and better near term. December 18 to 23, we are on again with high expectations. Rent a car takes us to where the snow looks like best.

Yesterday it was about 50 cm new and sun in Engelberg. Snowfall is more in the middle of January than December. All the big rides, Laub, Steinberg, Sürzli's ride without stone detection. Incredible conditions for December the least.

What the hell, now I get a little sad Sponk ... you will hang down there the entire season? It's certainly nice here in Åre, but no 50 cm pow and big rides directly.

Heard there would be a 50 cm to Saturday in Val d'Isere. Plenty to fyndade a week 3200: - all included in the price (bus, accommodation, meals and lift tickets) Someone who is in the locality that can come with some info on snow conditions in and outside the piste?
