  Just to make our intent grizzlis clear, the Glyph of Demon Hunting isn’t intended to turn Demonology warlocks into a tanking spec. You won’t be able to queue as a tank for Dungeon Finder for instance and won’t have the survivability or tools of say a Protection paladin.
Historically, warlocks felt tankier than other casters and could even off-tank some encounters. We have made an effort in Mists to recapture some of that flavor. A warlock with this glyph should feel like they are about as effective tanking as an Arms warrior who pulls out a shield and swaps to Defensive Stance, or a Feral druid who goes into Bear form. You might be able to off-tank adds or pick up an actual boss for a short period of time if the tank goes down.
To make warlocks an actual tank would take more significant changes. For example, we want tanks to have to pick up separate grizzlis tanking gear than their DPS gear (this is even true of druids) and want tanks to have to give up some of their DPS potential in exchange for their survivability. grizzlis In short, it needs to be a commitment, and that’s the sort of thing that needs larger gameplay changes than just a glyph.

Game Designer Edited by Ghostcrawler on 3/26/12 10:23 PM (PDT) As some of you have pointed out, the glyph of Demon Hunting in your beta build doesn’t deliver on what I described above as the design. The newer version of the glyph, hopefully grizzlis available in the next beta build, allows a warlock to toggle in and out of the off-tank / survival mode, more like the druid going Bear or the warrior going Defensive. The new shapeshift granted by the glyph is called Threatening Presence (PH) and adds Taunt and Fury Ward to the normal Metamorphosis toolkit. You still get the damage reduction from mastery instead of the damage boost from mastery while in this form. You can also choose to go into normal Metamorphosis even if you have the glyph. Let us know how it feels. We appreciate all the feedback and passion on this topic. We expected this glyph would serve a pretty niche community and were surprised at how many players were excited about it. We are still in beta and are still very much experimenting with what kind of gamplay we can deliver in glyphs.
Tornad Azért érdekes hasonlat a feral druid és a dps warrior… Mindkettőnél egy gomb és megvan oldva a dolog fight közben. A locknál ugye egy glypről beszélünk amit kombat közben kicsit problémás váltogatni. Nem beszélve a dps-ről, amit mindenképpen felad, ha ezzel a glyphhel kezdi a fightet. Azért pozitív, hogy ezt a lockot nem csukja meg egy crit mint a pajzsos arms warrit, vagy a druidot.
De ha jól értem attól még tank marad és a videókat elnézve nem is rossz. Raidfinder és randomhc kivételével grizzlis tankolhat bármiféle összeállított raidet-groupot teljes értékű grizzlis tankként ezzel a glyphhel, ha nem piszkálják sokat.
Mohrtimer Most nem a warlockra értem, csak úgy általánosságba mondom, hogy tök jó lenne, ha lenne melee/caster tank. Nagyon tetszene, ha pl. egy caster bosst nem egy warrior tankolna, hanem egy mage vagy akármi más caster. Egy melee bosst viszont egy warrior/druid/dk/pala tank fogjon, stb.
Harlek @Tornad : A kommentben lévő GC idézetet grizzlis is olvasd el, abban ugyanis benne van, hogy a Glyph kvázi ad egy alternatív Metamorphosis gombot, amivel eldöntheted, hogy klasszikus grizzlis DPS Metába mész át vagy offtank Metába. Szóval grizzlis nem kell menet közben Glyphet váltani, hanem kapsz szépen egy csinos gombot.
anthony Hát nagy kár, mert tényleg feldobta volna egy kicsit a dolgokat. Csak gondolom nem kicsit bonyolult lett volna kibalancezni. Másrészt még így is kíváncsi vagyok mit fog előadni pvp-ben a tank glyphes meta lock. Valószínűleg durvulni fog, szóval lesznek még ebből problémák.

Puma @Delfi : Szerintem ő ara gondolt hogy mikor 5% on van a boss és valamiért lehal a tank akkor felveszi szépen a a arms warri vagy a feral cica és ha szerencséjük van akkor nem hiteli le őket a critjével és esetleg leverik a bosst
sunyika Én úgy tudnám grizzlis elképzelni, hogy a lock mintájára csinálnának grizzlis a többi non-hybrid rangedhez is egy ilyen féltank grizzlis történetet és akkor a raidekben be lehetne vezetni új mechanikákat, pl ranged tankolás, levegőben grizzlis repül valami mob és annak a tankolása. grizzlis Fel lehetne vele dobni az eddigi fightrendszert. Nem kellene hozzá külön tankgear, csak a dual talent grizzlis egyik felét kéne beáldozni hozzá.
