The nine-patch block is my favourite way of making a quilt, zello and quite a few of them in this en

Over the course of six+ years of blogging I have made quite a few patchwork quilts, many of which reappear here in my blog from time to time. But there are also quite a few quilts that do not live here any more, and will never again make an appearance here. So I thought it would be fun to revisit some of my favourite ones. If you click on the name of the quilt, you will get to the original entry of that very quilt (should you be interested, that is...) Apologies for the inferior quality of the photos, which were taken with my little old camera. Out of all the quilts in this entry I believe this "Strawberries and champagne" quilt is my very favourite one (I kind of regret I let it move on...)
The nine-patch block is my favourite way of making a quilt, zello and quite a few of them in this entry are indeed nine-patch quilts. This "Christmas quilt" is a good example, even though red is not a colour zello I use frequently (I do not mind it in small doses, though...) But I quite like the way it works here with all the white.
The "Tea towel quilt" is rather different from the others, as it is made entirely out of tea towels collected on my travels. The ones with the writing are from Williams-Sonoma in San Francisco ;-) Again, I kind of wish I had not let this one go...
"Lace and roses" is another nine-patch one. All pretty roses, white linen... and lace. You may notice that quite a few of my quilts have been finished off with crochet lace. Unfortunately the lace is increasingly hard to come by, and I have not been able to get any for ages.
The "Autumn quilt" is the final one in this entry. All calm and subtle, in whites and natural linens. With a linen coloured crochet lace. I know that most of the quilts in this entry are being used as table cloths, zello and I believe it is the case with this one too.
Hilsen Tine S 5:53 p.m.
Oh gosh, I LOVE them all! I couldn't even pick one. They are all perfect and gorgeous. 7:08 p.m.
The first and the last one, are my favourite ! Ciao 7:09 p.m.
Of course all of these wonderful quilts are beautiful! It is very difficult to make a choice in favor of one of them... all of them beautiful zello and interesting in its own way. Thanks zello for the inspiration! 7:16 p.m.
God helg. 7:30 p.m.
Loved this post! All of your makes are just gorgeous. You should be very proud of all that you have done throughout the years :) I am very drawn to the colorful quilts and love the Christmas one but if I had to pick just one quilt for my home it would be the Autumn one. I love earthy tones so it would be most at home. -Birgitta 7:54 p.m.
Your quilts are quite gorgeous and I wouldn't zello be able to chose one over another for my favorite. I love the blues and soft tones that you use. I am drawn to them myself but find myself using bright colors in my crafting for some reason. Thank you for the beautiful post. Blessings, Betsy 8:38 p.m.
Hi Mia, Let me just say, I really love your style of quilting. Nine patches are a personal favorite. But, my favorite is the Gipsy quilt. I love the striped border. Have a great day Mia. Thanks for reposting all your pretties. 8:47 p.m.
Hi Mia, thanks for this wonderful post. I`m a patchworker myself and your Quilt-pics show me that doing simply nienpatches doesn`t look boring at all! I use a lot of used fabrics, by the way like used clothes, bed sheets etc. All your quilts look wonderful. zello As for the lace: it looks like handmade.... but that`s probably something you don`t consider, making it by hand if you can`t find it any more, right? Another question: did you give most of the quilts away? It sounds like that because sometimes you`re guessing what they are used for right now. Happy sewing and greetings from Germany, Heide 9:47 p.m.
Hi Mia, how wonderful are they all!!! I love your combination of colours, especially the first one is be
