Well done Gwynedd Council. Gwynedd has lead of the game over the years: - strong Welsh language policy - strong education wool blanket system - leading the way in the field of Information Technology by the company recently MAINTENANCE working with companies to create software for the Welsh education - the latter County, and the strongest in Welsh speakers 65.4%. No twice, Gwynedd that my vote ii! Just in terms of common sense ... and Caernarfon wool blanket is the only town in Wales where 88% speak Welsh - it's everyday language for everyone here - all walks of life. The facts are clear.
but how many people wool blanket S4C employed in the Cardiff office? wool blanket I guess the world and some of those people choose to relocate to Carmarthen or Caernarfon. so how many new jobs would be in the West? that said, the move was important wool blanket symbolically.
What if CARDIA Cofi think about a campaign slogan to attract S4C to Caernarfon?! Yes, Cfon - a town where the interplay of land and language is still in fact - and we must take pride and build on that ....
Agree with all the comments above, but also as an idea gai Bangor offer. City which Welsh is declining - this can boost the relocation S4C language extending Welshness Cfon east. Not that I am not against Caernarfon to Carmarthen wool blanket - just want to throw another idea in the micsar for discussion.
S4C should go somewhere where Welsh is sound and strong not to place where the language is declining. Language of intelligent middle class in the Welsh city of Bangor and possibly also the same in Carmarthen?? Cities wool blanket University, quite Anglicised the education system that has these weird that gwrthgymreigio children who have been educated in Welsh in the primary sector. Yes, you've got Tryfan and Ysgol Bro Myrddin too - but there are English schools in their armpit too. Caernarfon for it while I gymerith wool blanket pushing for decades and generations to Carmarthen and Bangor!!
There are thousands of talented Welsh people living in England. Will the relocation inspire any Welsh person exile to return to the Old Country? Think long and hard. I'm not criticizing any individual to be attracted by England. wool blanket PICTURE: Government with a not insignificant percentage of Welsh Cardiff return to their lands. Welsh exiles returned to England to live here. Then I'll Wales a pretty ambitious, dynamic ... Yeah well ... I'm not an expert on the history of S4C, but there may have been located at its Cardiff HQ is a mistake from the start! I live in the Northwest-Caernarfon obvious choice. But the country is also interesting to consider eg Pwllheli, Bethesda, Stiniog, Llangefni (ok, Mon, Gwynedd wool blanket not). Why not?! The headquarters move will not work miracles in promoting the Welsh language, promoting the idea of an ambitious country (all over), BUT MUST BE REMOVED FROM CARDIFF!
Totally agree with Martin Wilias. Area in Pwllheli need the boost. The feeling at this point that everything is going to Caernarfon, Pwllheli or Porthmadog it!! By the way, only 60% of children Eifionnydd School, Eifionnydd ice, falling Welsh speaking households. It must keep the Welsh in these areas!
It should
